My Story

ABOUT ME

For It Is The Beauty Of Freedom That Counts

Artist Biography - Melinda Bunjaku

I was born 1 May 1990 and raised in Sweden in Malmö city, but I'm originally from Kosovo pristina. When I was 13 years old I started drawing, a teacher noticed this and showed the pictures to her mother who was an artist. She had told the girl that it is a gift and a talent she has. I have never gone to art school but I'm self-taught, I consider my art as the freedom of art and see art as a development. In my paintings I often have a message behind it. I'm not the one who is afraid to express my feelings through my art.

During my dark days, I got the bible from a friend as a gift in the USA, I started reading it and since then I have received both deliverance and inspiration. A big thank you to god who sent the messiah, all glory to god, I love you Yahweh.

Artist Statement – Melinda Bunjaku

Am a visual artist whose work explores the intersection of spirituality, emotion, and human experience. With a strong emphasis on expression through color, light, and gesture, my paintings often depict sacred or introspective moments that invite the viewer into deeper reflection.

Rooted in a personal journey of faith and artistic discovery, my art carries a sense of quiet reverence and raw humanity. I paints not just figures, but the feelings within them — capturing vulnerability, strength, and connection in each brushstroke. My use of oil on canvas allows for layered textures and depth, creating images that feel both timeless and alive.

In my work, i seeks to portray more than what is seen; I aims to reveal what is felt. Whether painting biblical figures, moments of prayer, or symbolic imagery, i brings a compassionate and meditative quality to each piece, encouraging viewers to pause, feel, and reflect on their own spiritual journeys.

My art stands as a testament to the power of stillness and the beauty of faith — a visual language that speaks gently, but profoundly, to the soul.
